| Description |
Stove - Door from small, portable "walking" wood stove made by Garland Manufacturing Company. The Garland Stove Company was located in Detroit Michigan, one of the major sources of wood and coal burning stoves prior to it being known for the manufacture of automobiles. The company was founded in the late 1800s and continues in business today. Another stove part found nearby was marked 1892, suggesting a turn of the 20th Century time period for use. Also see items L2009.09.025, L2009.09.030 and L2009.09.032. |
