Abstract Two people died during the fire that consumed the east end of Wallace. James Boyd died when he went back to his home on the south hill between Maple and Pearle Streets to retrieve his parrot. His charred body was found outside his home. A second man who was never identified died in the Coeur d' Alene House at 724 Bank Street.
